Endu, the Holy Sword
The legendary blade that lifts you across gaps. Its flight is a traversal stat you upgrade, not a spell you cast.
Endu is the reason the island can be laid out vertically. Because flight is a weapon property rather than an unlocked ability, the map can put a ledge above you that is genuinely unreachable until the sword improves, and then let the same ledge become a shortcut.
The interesting part is what it does to the stamina conversation. A jump that consumes nothing competes with a swing that consumes everything, so the traversal verb and the combat verb are pulling on different resources. That is a cleaner separation than most games in this lineage manage.
A note on restraint: the demo shows flight being used to clear gaps, but the demo does not hand you the upgraded distances. Everything said here about longer flights comes from the official feature list, not from play.
