Queen’s Domain: the island, the stamina economy, and the sword that lets you fly
A retro-fantasy first-person action RPG from Freshly Baked Games. This guide documents what the free demo and the official material actually establish, and marks plainly where they stop.
One island, cut open
The demo never gives you a map, so this guide draws one as a cross-section instead: shore at the top, crypt below it, and a sealed gate at the bottom that you can reach but not open.
Wreck site, tutorial ground SHORE · 0 m
Fallen trunks, hidden route UPLAND · -12 m
Vine-choked masonry CRYPT · -48 m
Manual save, respawns area CRYPT · -96 m
Where the demo ends GATE · -140 m
Cassus Vicus
The wreck-strewn shore where the game begins, and the only place in the demo that is genuinely safe.
Dempo Mausoleum
The barred tomb your father entered with a company of knights, and the wall the demo keeps you on the outside of.
The Endu Shrine Gate
The gate the burial-site key actually opens, and the one place in the demo that visibly promises more game behind it.
One swing is the whole budget
A single sword swing empties the bar. The next swing, taken while it refills, is a weaker swing. That is not a difficulty setting, it is the design: reach becomes worth more than damage, and a thrown dagger becomes worth more than a second slash.
It also explains why the demo’s starting weapons feel bad in the right way. A rusted sword with no reach and no bar left is a lesson about spacing, taught by a skeleton.
Read the stamina economy
| Action | Cost | What it buys | Bar |
|---|---|---|---|
| One swing from full | Bar to empty | Attack lands, nothing left to follow up | |
| Second swing, bar empty | No bar left | Weaker hit, no way to disengage | |
| Throw a dagger | No stamina | Free damage, but a limited belt | |
| Charged attack | Wind-up in the open | Huge hit if the read is right | |
Bar widths are qualitative, drawn from watching the meter in the demo. Exact frame data and regeneration rates are not published by the developer, so no percentages are claimed here.
“We just wanted to say a huge thank you for the 200,000 wishlists (and counting!)”
Official announcement, 19 Oct 2026
Three slots, three damage types, one sword that flies
Endu, the Holy Sword
The legendary blade that lifts you across gaps. Its flight is a traversal stat you upgrade, not a spell you cast.
Throwing Weapons
Twenty-plus types of thrown weapon that are not consumables, giving you an attack that costs no stamina.

The Stamina Economy
A bar that empties on one swing and decides how much of your next swing lands. It is the fight.
Slashing, Piercing, Impact
Three damage types, and enemies that are visibly built to punish whichever one you brought.
Endu, the Holy Sword
The legendary blade that lifts you across gaps. Its flight is a traversal stat you upgrade, not a spell you cast.
Throwing Weapons
Twenty-plus types of thrown weapon that are not consumables, giving you an attack that costs no stamina.
Crystal Save Points
Manual saves at glowing crystals. Resting heals you and respawns everything. Saving does not.
